Auto add different gifts for different cart conditions

Do you ever want to create multi level Gift With Purchase and automatically add different free gifts based on each level of condition? This use case of our Gift With Purchase campaign can help you to automate your promotion workflow, while still delivering various value to your customers.

In this article, we’re going to guide you through the steps to create an auto add gift campaign with multiple levels of cart condition.

Campaign type: Gift With Purchase
Recommended discount type: Percentage
Discount value for gift: 100% of the offer original price


Set up campaign



Step 1: From Shopify admin, go to app dashboard > Choose to create campaign “Gift With Purchase”



Step 2: Set up campaign info and auto add functionality
Input your campaign name - remember to give it a distinguished name to differentiate it with other campaigns
Choose option “Auto Add” for the Grab offer behavior, so gift can automatically be added to customer’s cart later



Step 3: Configure your promotion

Input the cart value minimum condition to get offer
Then, choose the product you wish to offer as gift
Input a discount value you want to apply for the offer



For auto-add offer functionality, only 1 item of the first variant of selected product will be added to cart

Step 4: Set up multiple levels for cart conditions by creating multiple campaigns of Gift With Purchase
Repeat the steps above to create different levels for cart condition
Remember to change the offer product to vary the offer for each condition level



Step 5: Check the campaign if it’s working.

You will see a notification pops up mentioning a gift has been added to cart whenever the cart condition is met.
Once a new condition is triggered, the gift of lower condition will be removed automatically and replaced with the new gift of the latest condition triggered.
