Introduction to Price Edit task

Hello store owners!

This article will introduce you to the Price Edit task. After going through everything in this article, you should know how to properly set up your Price Edit task. Let's get started!

What is the Price Edit task?

Price Edit task allows you to edit your product prices in bulk easily within minutes. With that ease, merchants can test different pricing plans to generate the highest revenue possible and automate the process of changing prices.

How to run Price Edit task with SALE+

Step 1: In Dashboard > Select “Edit Product price”

Step 2: Task info: Fill all information in “Task info” card

Task name: Active -> campaign is ON. Inactive -> campaign is OFF
Task name: Name your Price edit task. This will not be shown to your customers, it’s only served to manage your task list.

Step 3: Task configuration card: Choose targets

This is where you select the targeted products whose prices you want to edit. You can choose:
By specific products
By specific collections
All the collections in your store.

In this example, we will change price of 4 products:
Black and brown shoes
Black and white sneakers
Green and violet sneakers
Green canvas shoes

Step 4: Task configuration card: Set up change rules

To set up price change rules, following these steps:
Choose “Increase price” or “Decrease price”
Select change price by “percentage” or “amount”
Type your desired change value in the text box

To make your prices more consistent storewide, consider the “Override cents” option, which allows you to set the same decimal number for every product.

In this example, let’s set the discount value as below:
Increase price by 30% for all selected products
Product prices ending in .99

Here’s how it’s changed in the storefront:

Before

After

Step 5: Task configuration card: Set price change rules

When the Flash sale task ends, all products/collections will revert to their prices in two ways:
Revert to Original Price: Automatically reverts to the original price that you initially set for the product.
Revert to Last Edited Price: Automatically reverts products/collections to the last edited price at the Compare-at-Price field.

Step 6: Task schedule card: Set schedule for your Price Edit task

In this section, you can choose start date and time; end date and time for the task. With this feature, the prices will be changed automatically on your desired dates, without you having to standby.
If you don’t set an end date for your task, it will run indefinitely.

The time set is based on your store’s timezone.

For the paid plan, our app includes a recurring task feature with Weekly schedule and Monthly schedule

Weekly schedule: Instead of setting up a one-time schedule each week, this feature will automatically activate and end Price Edit tasks based on the time you've set for any day of the week
Example:
Start time: Tuesday at 5:00 PM
End time: Wednesday at 5:00 PM
→ The Price Edit task will automatically activate on Tuesday at 5:00 PM and end on Wednesday at 5:00 PM every week

Monthly schedule: Similar to the Weekly Schedule, this feature will automatically activate and end the Price Edit tasks based on the time you've set, but according to specific days in the month.
Example:
Start date: The 7th of every month at 11:30 AM
End date: The 24th of every month at 7:30 PM
→ The Price Edit task will automatically activate on the 7th at 11:30 AM and end on the 24th at 7:30 PM every month

Once you finish setting up the task, you can check the summary window on the right to make sure all information is correct.

Some notes you need to pay attention to

When a Price Edit task is active, prices won’t be reverted back until the task is disabled. Therefore, please deactivate the Flash Sale before uninstalling the app.
