Set up Fraud detection
Snap COD helps you reduce failed deliveries and fraud risks by detecting suspicious orders before fulfillment. With the Fraud Detection feature, you can automatically flag risky orders based on distance and customer behavior.
What is Fraud Detection?
Fraud Detection helps identify and tag orders that are likely to be risky. This includes:
- Orders shipped too far from the store's location
- Customers using VPN/proxy
- Suspicious order information (e.g. fake names, symbols)
Once detected, these orders can be auto-tagged and reviewed before processing.
How to enable Fraud Detection
- Go to the App dashboard.
- Click Activate now to turn on the feature.

Auto add order tag:
When turned on, Snap COD will automatically add a tag to any order that meets your risk conditions. This helps your team easily filter or cancel them before shipping.
Set risk by shipping distance:
You can set a safe shipping range by adjusting the sliders:
- Low-risk boundary: Orders shipped within this range (e.g. 62km) are considered safe.
- High-risk boundary: Orders shipped beyond this range (e.g. 105km) are tagged as high-risk.
🚦 Orders between these two values fall in a moderate-risk zone (yellow).
Advanced settings:
You can enable additional fraud checks:
Check customers using Proxy or VPN
→ Detect users trying to hide their IP.
Check special character in order information
→ Catch fake names like “!@#”, “asdf”, etc.
Tick the boxes to activate these checks.
Best practices
- Combine fraud detection with COD limits for extra protection.
- Regularly update your high-risk boundary based on past failed deliveries.
