Here is what the app looks like on your live store:
Here is the App Dashboard where you can manage all your settings, view performance analytics, and customize your cart:
Step 1: Enable the App Embed (Crucial First Step)
Before customizing the design, you must activate the app inside your Shopify Theme Editor. Without this step, the cart drawer will not show up on your storefront.
- From your app dashboard, click Enable Snap Cart Drawer at the top. This will automatically open your Shopify Theme Editor.
- In the left panel under App embeds, toggle the switch to On for Snap Cart Drawer.
- Click Save in the top right corner of your Shopify Theme Editor.
Step 2: Customize Your Cart Drawer
Now, let's design your cart drawer so it matches your brand's style.
- From your Shopify Admin, go to Apps → Snap Cart Drawer.
- Click Edit on the Snap Cart Drawer card to open the Cart Editor.
- In the left panel under the Design section, you can:
- Choose a layout template (Classic, Minimalist, or Modern).
- Manually customize colors for the background, text, buttons, and prices.
- Toggle on the features you want to show in your drawer (such as Reward Progress Bar, Upsell products, and Shipping protection).
- Need help setting up rewards? Check out our Setup & Create Discount Guidance for SnapCart Reward Progress Bar.
- Click Save in the top right corner when you are done.
Step 3: Enable the Sticky Cart Button
The Sticky Cart Button (Floating Cart Button) is a small shopping basket icon that floats on the screen. It keeps the cart accessible at all times, even when customers scroll deep down your pages.
- Go to your Apps → Snap Cart Drawer and click Configure on the Floating Button card.
- Toggle the status to Active to turn it on.
- Under Button settings, select your preferred icon style, size, and background colors.
- Under Button display, configure:
- Action on button click: Set to Open cart drawer so it slides open instantly.
- Device selections: Choose to display it on all devices, mobile only, or desktop only.
- Position: Choose where the button floats on the screen (e.g., Bottom right).
-
Click Save in the top right corner.

Step 4: Track Your Sales and Performance
Once the app is running, you can monitor how it contributes to your store's revenue.
- Go to Apps → Snap Cart Drawer and click Analytics in the left sidebar.
- Check your key performance indicators:
- Total revenue: See the money generated directly through the app.
- Check out click / Conversion rate: Track how many customers proceed to buy after opening the drawer.
- % use Add-ons: Understand which features (Upsell, Rewards Bar) are popular with your shoppers.
- You can also view a list of Top performance products to see which items are sold the most through cart recommendations.
Best Practices for High Conversions
To get the most out of Snap Cart Drawer, try these simple settings:
- Optimize the Rewards Bar: Set your free shipping threshold slightly higher (about 15% to 20%) than your average order value. If your average customer spends $50, set the free shipping target at $60 to encourage them to add one more product.
- Choose Low-Price, High-Impulse Upsells: For the product recommendation section, pick items that are small, inexpensive, and easy to add (like accessories, gift wrapping, or shipping protection). Customers are much more likely to add a $5 product to their cart on impulse.
- Always Test Before Going Live: Click Preview on test mode at the top of the editor. This lets you play with the cart drawer and test your settings safely without showing them to your live customers.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- The cart drawer is not showing up: Please verify that you have enabled the App Embed in your Shopify Theme Editor (see Step 1). This is the most common reason the drawer does not appear.
- Two cart drawers are opening at the same time: If your Shopify theme has its own native slide-out cart, it might conflict with our app. Go to your Shopify Theme Settings → Cart, and change the theme's cart type from Drawer or Modal to Page. This ensures only Snap Cart Drawer slides open when a customer clicks the cart icon.
