App FAQs
How will the prices be changed when I create a Price Edit task?
Answer: When you create a Price Edit to increase or decrease product prices in your store, the prices change according to the logic as follows: Both the price and Compare-at-Price (CAP) will change according to the rule you set.
- Product A Price: $320
- Product B Price: $320 CAP: $500
- Price edit task: Increase price by $100
Then, New price of Product A: $420 and New price of Product B: $420; CAP $600
How will the prices be changed when I create a Flash sale?
Answer: When you create a Flash sale to decrease product prices in your store, the prices change according to the logic as follows:
- If you choose to change the Price field
The discount will be calculated based on your original price.
For example, Product A || Price: $320 CAP: N/A
Discounted A: After 50% discount on Price || Price: $160 CAP: $320
In case your product has Compare-at-price, it will change as follows:
For example: Product B || Price: $320 CAP: $500
Discounted B: After 50% discount on Price || Price: $160 CAP: $320
Your old compare-at-price ($500) will still be back after the task ends.
- If you choose to change the Compare-at-price field
The discount will be calculated based on your original Compare-at-price
For example: Product B || Price: $320 CAP: $500
Discounted B: After 50% discount on Compare-at-price || Price: $250 CAP: $500
If your product doesn't have Compare-at-price originally but you choose this option, a new CAP will be added
For example: Product A || Price: $320 CAP: N/A
Discounted A: After 50% discount on Compare-at-price || Price: $320 CAP: $640
Is there any limit to the number of products per task?
Answer: There is no limit to the number of products per task. You can run unlimited products on a task by choosing "All collection".
However, more products mean more time to process. Please be patient while running tasks on a high number of products.
The price changed incorrectly, what should I do?
Answer: In case there are errors in changing prices, please contact support. We saved a backup of your product prices when you installed our app and can help you revert to this price version in case Shopify API and webhooks don't work correctly.
However, please note that we only have the version when you install the app. If you add more products afterward or make changes to your product list, we can't update the info on these products.
How does revert price work?
Answer: When a task ends, your product prices (both Price and Compare at price) will be reverted to the original price If you run multiple tasks at the same time on a product, it follows the same logic.
Example: Product A with original price as $100 || You create task Flash sale 1 (discount 50%) on product A. You create another Price edit 1 increase by $20 on product A. When reverting, the prices of the product will be reverted back to the original before the first task was created ($100)"
Can multiple tasks run at the same time?
Answer: Yes, you can run as many tasks as you want simultaneously with DIFFERENCE products. If you want to run multiple tasks with SAME products, the tasks won't be combined, only one task takes effect on the product at a time. We advise you to contact support or read the price change logic below carefully to make sure the price changes exactly as you wish.
