Introduction to Price Edit task

Price Edit task allows you to edit your product prices in bulk easily within minutes. With that ease, merchants can test different pricing plans to generate the highest revenue possible and automate the process of changing prices.

How to run Price Edit task with SALE+

Step 1: Navigate to "Edit Product prices" task

Step 2: Task info: Fill all information in Task info card

  • Status: Active = campaign is ON, Inactive = campaign is OFF
  • Name: Give your Price edit task a name. Customers won’t see this - it’s just for you to manage your task list.

Step 3: Task configuration card: Choose targets

This is where you select the targeted products whose prices you want to edit. You can choose:
  • All products
  • Specific products
  • Specific collections
  • Tags
  • Product types

Step 4: Task configuration card: Set up change rules

To set up price change rules, follow these steps:
  • Choose Increase price, Decrease price, or New value
  • Select how to display the change price: Price, Compare-at-price, or Both
  • Select how to change the price: by percentage or amount
  • Type your desired change value in the text box
To make your prices more consistent storewide, consider the Override cent option, which allows you to set the same decimal number for every product.
In this example, let's set the discount value as below:
  • Increase the price by 30% for all selected products
  • Product prices ending in .99!

Here's how it's changed in the storefront:

After

Step 5: Task configuration card: Set price change rules

When the Flash sale task ends, all products/collections will revert to their prices in two ways:
  • Revert to Original Price: Automatically restores the product price to the original price you first set.
  • Revert to Last Edited Price: Automatically restores the product/collection price to the last edited price in the Compare-at-price field.

Step 6: Task schedule card: Set schedule for your Price Edit task

In this section, you can choose the start date and time, the end date and time for the task. With this feature, the Price Edit task will run automatically on your desired dates, without you having to standby.
The time set is based on your store's timezone.

For the paid plan, our app includes a recurring task feature with Weekly Schedule and Monthly Schedule, both of which automatically display a countdown timer when the task is active (optional).
Weekly schedule: Instead of setting up a one-time schedule each week, this feature will automatically activate and end Price Edit tasks based on the time you've set for any day of the week.
Example:
  • Start time: Tuesday at 14:45.
  • End time: Tuesday at 15:00.
The Price Edit task will automatically activate on Tuesday at 14:45 and end at 15:00 on Tuesday of next week.

Monthly schedule: Similar to the Weekly Schedule, this feature will automatically start and end your Price Edit tasks at the time you set — but based on specific days of the month.
Example:
  • Start date: The 3rd of every month at 6:00.
  • End date: The 22nd of every month at 16:00.
The Price Edit task will automatically activate on the 3rd at 6:00 and end on the 22nd at 16:00 every month.

Some notes you need to pay attention to

When a Price Edit task is active, prices won't be reverted back until the task is disabled. Therefore, please deactivate all the campaigns before uninstalling the app.
