This article will introduce you to the Flash Sale campaign. After going through everything in this article, you should know how to properly set up your Flash Sale campaign. Let's dig in to it!

What is Flash Sale?

Flash Sale is a promotion type which create a sense of urgency because product discount is only available in a limited time.

Create a Flash Sale campaign

Let's set up the above campaign showing on image.

Step 1: Go to the "Campaigns" tab > click "New campaign" then select campaign "Flash Sale"

Step 2: Fill in campaign information in the "Campaign Info & Configuration" card & Choose campaign status

Campaign name: the name of the campaign, this will not be shown in the storefront but it's used to manage your campaign list. Try to make it as descriptive as possible.

Campaign status: Active -> campaign is ON. Inactive -> campaign is OFF

Step 3: Select Discount products in the "Promotion Configuration" card

This is where you add the products that you want to have a flash sale.

Example from the above campaign, we will select these products to the discount list:
925 Flower Earrings
Delicious Camisole
Ring 56 in Silver
Summer Bucket Hat

Step 4: Give a discount amount for the products in discount list:

Under Discount Value section in the "Promotion Configuration" card, you can select the discount type and the discount amount that you want to generally apply to all products selected in the discount list above. As normal, we have 3 discount types which are Percentage, Cash amount (Amount) & New price.

Once you finish setting up the discount value, on the campaign preview, you should see the first product in discount list showing its name and discounted price.

For the sample campaign, we will give this campaign a 40% off on all selected products above. Since the earrings is the first product on the list, it will appear on campaign preview:

Step 5: Schedule your Flash Sale campaign

Since the nature of campaign is to offer discount in a limited time, this campaign will work under a time schedule.

You can select the start date and time of the campaign, also its end date and time. Campaign will be launched exactly according to the start date and time, then automatically deactivate and recover product's original price after the end date and time.

For example: We want to offer this campaign in 24 hours only. We will set the date and time according to the real time.

Step 6: Enable Countdown timer
One more thing, this Flash Sale campaign is specifically designed with a countdown timer showing in product page. With a countdown timer, you can increase the fear of missing out (FOMO), also the sense of urgency to check out the discounted products.

The countdown timer in our app will automatically run after the schedule time you set up above. So you just need to Enable it, then you can see the preview of countdown timer on the campaign preview.
