How To Test BOGO+ Without Affecting Your Live Store?

If you're looking to test the app without affecting your live theme and online store, there are a few steps you can follow to set it up

Step 1: Deactivate app BOGO+ on your live theme

First, you need to deactivate the app on your live theme. This will ensure that any changes you make during testing won't affect your live store

In the Dashboard of BOGO+, switch app status from Activate to Deactivate by clicking on text Activate app embed

Once you've deactivated the app on your live theme, it's time to duplicate it

Step 2: Duplicate your live theme

Go to the Online Store section, find your live theme then click on the Action button (represented by three dots), and select Duplicate from the drop-down menu. When duplicating, rename the theme as [TEST] BOGO+ to make it easy to distinguish from your live theme

Step 3: Activate the app for the duplicated theme

Navigate to the duplicated theme (renamed as [TEST] BOGO+), click Customize, and go to the App Embeds section. From there, you can activate the app and start testing it on your duplicate theme

Step 4: Create your promotion campaign from our app

If you already have a campaign, you can test it out. If not, simply click on the Create campaign button within the app to start a new one. Easy peasy!

Step 5: Go to the duplicated theme via preview mode

Last but not least, test the app by going to the duplicated theme via preview mode

Go to Online Store in your Shopify admin panel, and select the duplicate theme (renamed as [TEST] BOGO+). Then click on Actions (represented by three dots) choosing the option Preview for the duplicated theme. This allows you to test the app without any negative effects on your live theme and online store
