How to set up Order Summary in the cart drawer
Overview
Order Summary allows customers to review important pricing information directly within the cart drawer before proceeding to checkout.
This feature helps customers:
- Apply discount codes.
- View their cart subtotal.
- Review their total savings.
- Understand how discounts are applied to their orders.
Providing a clear order summary can help improve pricing transparency and create a smoother checkout experience.
Discount Code Settings
Snap Cart Drawer allows customers to apply Shopify discount codes directly from the cart drawer.

Show Discount Code Field
Enable this option to display the discount code input field within the cart drawer.

When enabled, customers can enter their discount codes without leaving their shopping experience.
Placeholder Text
Customize the placeholder text displayed inside the discount code field.

Examples:
- Discount code
- Enter your coupon code
- Apply your promotion code
Button Text
Customize the text displayed on the discount code button.

Examples:
- Apply
- Redeem
- Use Code
Invalid Discount Code Message
Customize the message displayed when customers enter an invalid discount code.

Examples:
- The discount code you entered is not valid.
- This discount code cannot be applied.
- Please try another discount code.
Providing a clear error message can help customers quickly understand why their discount code was not applied.
Make the Discount Field Collapsible
Enable this option to allow customers to expand or collapse the discount code section when needed.

This setting can help create a cleaner cart layout while still allowing customers to apply discount codes when desired.
Savings Summary
Display Total As
Choose how the cart total is displayed within the Order Summary section.

Displaying the subtotal allows customers to quickly review the value of the products currently in their cart before taxes and shipping fees are applied.
Savings Row
The Savings Row displays the total amount customers save on their orders.

Note: The Savings Row is displayed only when the total savings amount is greater than zero.
You can customize the text displayed for the savings label.

Include in Savings
Snap Cart Drawer provides two methods for calculating customer savings.

All Savings
Includes all available discounts, including:
- Compare-at price savings.
- Automatic discounts.
- Discount codes.
This option provides customers with a complete view of the total amount they have saved.
Cart Discount Only
Displays savings generated only by cart-level discounts.
This option excludes savings calculated from compare-at prices and focuses solely on discounts applied during checkout.
Tip: Selecting All Savings can help emphasize the total value customers receive from their purchases, while Cart Discount Only provides a more focused view of checkout-related discounts.
Customize the Appearance
Navigate to the Design tab to customize the appearance of the Order Summary section.
Subtotal
You can customize:
- Text size.
- Font weight.

Discount Code Section
Customize the appearance of:
- Placeholder text size.
- Placeholder text color.
- Background color.
- Border size.
- Border color.

Apply Button
Customize:
- Button text size.
- Button text color.
- Button background color.

These settings allow you to create a consistent checkout experience that matches your store's branding.
Customer Experience
Order Summary provides customers with a clear overview of their cart pricing before checkout.
Customers can:
- Apply discount codes directly from the cart drawer.
- Review their subtotal or total amount.
