How to set up Cart Items

Overview

Cart Items allow you to customize how products are displayed within the cart drawer.

You can choose which product information is shown to customers, highlight product savings, and promote subscription purchases directly from the cart drawer.

Customizing your Cart Items can help:

• Improve product visibility during checkout.
• Highlight discounts and savings.
• Encourage subscription upgrades.
• Provide customers with more detailed product information.

Display Settings

Snap Cart Drawer allows you to customize which product information is displayed within the cart drawer.

Available display options include:

These settings help provide customers with additional product information before they proceed to checkout.

Savings Label

When enabled, the Savings Label displays the amount customers save when purchasing discounted products.

You can customize the label text using the following dynamic variable:

If customers save $5 on a product, the label will automatically display:

Subscription Products

Snap Cart Drawer integrates with supported Shopify subscription apps, allowing customers to upgrade eligible products from a one-time purchase to a subscription directly within the cart drawer.

This feature helps merchants:

• Increase recurring revenue.
• Promote subscription offerings during checkout.
• Encourage customers to subscribe without leaving the cart drawer.

Enable Subscription Upgrades

Enable Show Subscription Upgrade to allow customers to switch eligible products to their available subscription plans.

Subscription plan information is automatically generated by your installed subscription app.

Note: Subscription plans must first be configured within your supported Shopify subscription app before they can be displayed in Snap Cart Drawer.

Subscription Upgrade Label

You can customize the text displayed on the subscription upgrade button using dynamic variables.

The following variable is currently supported:

If the subscription plan is named "Monthly Subscription", customers will see:

Prevent Downgrades

Enable Prevent Downgrades to prevent customers from changing their subscription purchases back to one-time purchases within the cart drawer.

This setting can be useful when:

• Promoting subscription-exclusive discounts.
• Running subscription-focused marketing campaigns.
• Encouraging recurring purchases.

Note: Preventing customers from switching back to one-time purchases may negatively impact their purchasing decisions and could contribute to cart abandonment in some cases. Consider enabling this setting only when appropriate for your subscription strategy.

Customize the Appearance

Navigate to the Design tab to customize the appearance of Cart Items.

Layout

You can customize:

• Product image size.
• Product image border radius.

Colors

Customize the colors for:

• Product text.
• Product price.
• Savings label.
• Discount badge background.
• Discount badge text.
• Subscription upgrade button background.
• Subscription upgrade button text.

Typography

Customize the font sizes for:

• Product name.
• Product variants.
• Product price.
• Compare-at price.
• Savings label.
• Subscription upgrade button text.

These settings allow you to create a consistent shopping experience that matches your store's branding.

Cart Items provide customers with important product information while they review their purchases.
