Introduction to Cart Threshold

The Cart Threshold feature in Snap Slide Cart encourages customers to add more items to their carts by showing exciting, progressive offers based on their cart quantity. It's perfect for boosting your store's average order value while fostering a fun and engaging shopping experience.

What is Cart Threshold?

Cart Threshold is a flexible promotion tool that lets you set up discount blocks (e.g. Free Shipping, Free Gift, Order Discount, Product Discount) that only appear once the customer’s cart quantity reaches a certain amount. Each block can display a message like "Add 2 more items to unlock Free Shipping" and updates dynamically as items are added to the cart.

How to Set Up Cart Threshold?

Step 1: Enable Cart Threshold

  • Open the Cart drawer editor.
  • Scroll to the Cart section and click Add more add-ons.
  • Enable Cart threshold by toggling it on.

Kindly note: It is unable to enable both Rewards Progress Bar and Cart threshold at the same time.

Step 2: Customize the Threshold Block

  • Set a Title and Text after complete (e.g. “Congratulations! You’ve unlocked Free gift”).
  • Choose if it applies to all products or specific ones.
  • (Optional) Exclude certain products or collections.

Step 3: Add Discount Blocks

  • Click Add discount to set a new block.
  • Choose the Discount Type: Order discount, Free shipping, Product discount, Free gift.
  • Customize labels, icons, and messages for each block.

  • You can drag to reorder blocks or remove them anytime.

🎯Note: The order of the blocks determines how many more products a customer needs to add to trigger each discount. The first discount block requires 1 more product, the second needs 2, and so on. Empty blocks create spacing in this progression.

For example:

  • Block 1: Triggered when the customer adds 1 more item
  • Block 2: Triggered when the customer adds 2 more items
  • Block 3: Triggered when the customer adds 3 more items
  • If you insert an Empty block in position 4, then Block 5 will only activate when the customer adds 5 more items. Empty blocks serve as intentional gaps or “bait” to extend the incentive structure.

Customers can click on a block to see how many more items they need to unlock the next discount.

Step 4: Style Your Threshold Section (Optional)

  • Adjust title and text sizes.
  • Set the title and text colors.
  • Choose a background color for the threshold block.

Step 5: Click Save and check it on the storefront

Don't forget to click Save to apply the changes.

Here is how it will display on the storefront:
