Introduction to Floating notification - Review type

What is Review notification?

Review notification is a floating message that shows recent product reviews from your customers. You can use this type of notification to build social proof, increase credibility, and highlight top-rated products in your store.

How to set it up?

Step 1: From the notifications page, choose the Review type

Step 2: Choose notification layout

Type: Choose between New review or Review content. You can preview both and decide which one fits your store better.

Color template: Select between

  • Solid color
  • Gradient color

Customization options:

  • Gradient colors
  • Text color, timestamp color, star rating color
  • Price tag background & price color

Step 3: Edit content

Notification content: You can customize the text of the popup using the available attributes.

Timestamp: Use {review_date} to show when the review was made. The date will be displayed based on the data source.

Data source:

  • Sync Judge.me Review: Automatically pull real reviews from your Judge.me account.
  • Import CSV: Upload your own review data manually.

πŸ‘‰ Please make sure your CSV file follows the exact format of the sample file β€” with all required columns in the same order, and no missing information. Otherwise, the upload will fail.

You can also toggle options like:

  • Notification direct to specific product page
  • Show price tag
  • Show rating

Step 4: Choose display

Choose where the review notification will show: Homepage, Collection, Product Page, etc.

Set the notification position: Bottom left, bottom right, top left, or top right.

Step 5: Set up display behavior

Configure how and when notifications appear:

  • Delay before first notification
  • Display duration: How long each notification shows
  • Interval time: Time between notifications
  • Randomize interval time: Add a bit of randomness to make it feel more natural

Step 6: Hit the Save button

After finalizing your setup, click Save to apply the change.
