Set up COD limit

Snap COD allows you to restrict Cash on Delivery (COD) under certain conditions to reduce risks and improve operational control. You can hide the COD payment method based on order value, customer details, location, or even specific products.

This guide will show you how to set it up.

What is COD limit?

COD limit means hiding the COD payment method when an order meets specific conditions you define — for example:

  • Too low/high order value
  • Suspicious customer email or phone
  • Risky delivery locations
  • Certain product types

How to set up COD limit?

To begin, open the Limit COD section in the app and enable one or more of the following condition groups:

1. Order total

  • Subtotal: Hide COD based on the order subtotal.
  • Weight: Hide COD based on order weight.

2. Customer

  • Tag: Block COD for customers with specific Shopify tags.
  • Email: Add a list of emails to block COD for known risky users.
  • Phone: Use this to prevent abuse from specific phone numbers.

3. Location

  • Country: Disable COD for international or unsupported regions.
  • Postal code: Prevent COD in high-risk postal codes.

4. Product

  • Product: Select specific products to exclude COD.
  • Product tag: Target product tags (e.g. "fragile", "promo").
  • If a product is a giftcard: Auto-block COD for any gift card.
  • Vendor: Exclude products from specific vendors.

💡 You can enable multiple conditions at once. If any of them is met, COD will be hidden automatically.
