Goal Order Discount is a powerful feature that motivates customers to spend more by offering them bigger discounts as they reach higher cart values. It helps you increase average order value while giving shoppers a clear goal to unlock better deals.

In this guide, we'll walk you through how to set up a Goal Order Discount campaign easily, even if you're not a tech expert!

What is Goal Order Discount?

This campaign rewards customers based on their total cart value or item quantity.

For example:

  • Spend at least $100 → Get 10% off
  • Spend at least $200 → Get 20% off
  • Spend at least $300 → Get 30% off

You can also show a reward progress bar in the cart, encouraging shoppers to add more items to unlock the next discount level!

How to Set Up a Goal Order Discount Campaign

Step 1: Create a New Campaign

Open the Select Campaign section.

Select a suitable campaign type.

Step 2: Set Campaign Info

Enter your Campaign Name.

Choose the start date and time. Optionally, set an end date if you want the campaign to expire.

Step 3: Discount settings

Customer purchases: Choose the applicable products for your campaign:

  • All products: Apply the discount on the entire store.
  • Specific collections or Exclude products: Customize if needed.

Minimum purchase requirement: Choose how you want to track the goal:

  • Total cart value
  • Total item quantity

Set up your Discount tiers:

  • There are 3 discount types: Order discount, Shipping discount, and Gift
  • You can add or delete tiers anytime.

For the Gift type, you can choose Offer claim behaviour:

  • Automated
  • Manual: Popup or Gift slide

Step 4: Enable Reward Progress Bar (Optional but Recommended)

Toggle Enable reward progress bar.

Customize progress and promotion reached messages for each tier.

This bar motivates customers by showing them how close they are to unlocking the next discount!

Step 5: Advanced settings

Choose Customer eligibility that can help you set up a private campaign for certain customer groups.

Step 6: Activate Your Campaign

Don't forget to click Save to activate your campaign.

Test your campaign on your storefront to make sure everything displays as expected.
