How to add a new Hide payment method rule?

Overview

The Limit COD feature allows you to control the availability of Cash on Delivery (COD) based on specific criteria, ensuring a customized and efficient checkout process

Currently, the Snap COD app supports restricting COD payment method using the following criteria:

  • Order total
  • Customer information
  • Location
  • Product

Instructions to set up a rule

Step 1: Create a New Rule

From your Shopify admin dashboard, navigate to Snap COD Fee & Limitation. On the Dashboard page, click on the Set rules button

Step 2: Choose the Rule Condition

Select an option as the condition for the rule. With the Limit COD feature, the available conditions are:

  • Order total: hide based on order subtotal, order weight
  • Customer: hide based on customer tag, email, phone
  • Location: hide based on country, postal code
  • Product: hide products based on product, product tag, and if a product is a gift card

Notes: Cash on Delivery (COD) payments should be restricted if any of the following conditions are met

Step 3: Configure the condition

Enter the details for the chosen condition. For instance, set the minimum and maximum values for order subtotal or weight

Example:

  • Restrict COD if the order subtotal is between $50 and $200
  • Restrict COD if the order weight is between 5kg and 20kg

Step 4: Hit "Save" button to save your settings
