How to add Cash on Delivery fee?

This article will guide you on how to configure Cash on Delivery (COD) settings for your store using the Snap COD app

What is COD configuration?

The Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method enables customers to make purchases upon receiving the products. This guide will guide you through the process of setting up and integrating the COD shipping and payment functionalities within the Snap COD app

How to set it up?

Step 1: Open COD configuration

From the Dashboard page, click the Configure button

Step 2: Create your shipping rates for COD

  • Open the shipping settings

  • On General shipping rates, click General

  • Click the Add rate button

  • Fill in the rate name and price

  • Click Done, then click Save

Step 3: Select shipping rates with COD

Use the dropdown menu to search and select the available shipping options that support Cash on Delivery

Step 4: Create connection

Configure whether the Snap COD app links the COD payment method to the selected shipping rates

Note: If you choose not to link COD payment and shipping, you can still limit Cash on Delivery using other settings in our app

How to test the Configuration?

  1. Go to your storefront and simulate a purchase
  2. At checkout, select one of the previously linked COD shipping methods
  3. Ensure that the payment method is automatically set to Cash on Delivery (COD)
  4. Verify that the COD fee is applied correctly
